I have used this for a few years. The side fx were very annoying to me. My neck got very stiff. I felt \"high\" and was hard to function if I needed to. It didn\'t do much for nausea. The \"high\" feeling seemed to make this worse. I couldn\'t be creative with these due to the fact that you could not cut them in half, I can\'t remember why, but was told to take them whole. Imitrex I used few years ago for my migraines not for long.
The pill caused breast pain.
The injection a lot of pain left a bruise.
The nasal spray took coke get rid of the taste in my mouth.
Only the pill worked I wasn\'t going back to using it.

I totally agree. I took imitrex when it first came out in injectible. It made my neck stiff and the nausea worse. Just recently my neurologist wanted me to try it again but in pill form this time. I took it and about 10 minutes later my neck stiffened and I had more nausea then before.

Imitrek works great for me. Pills. Only trouble is that I ache all over after I've taken it and it makes me sleepy. I can deal with that because it is soooo much better than a 3 day migraine.

I've only had the injectable version and it worked really well the 1st time, but every time after that it felt like my veins were on fire. I don't think I would try it again no matter how desperate I was. My doc said that drugs like this will often work the 1st time and not again, so my advice (also courtesy of my doc) is to ask for samples to drugs like this before committing to a whole scrip.

Imitrex made my heart race so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. My aunt on the other hand swears by it. I guess like any med it fits to each person

Imetrex worked for awhile for me and then it started making my heart race and i became very hyper and exhusted at the same time. So I switched to Zomig and that works like a charm

Can anybody comment or share info re: correlation between Imitrex and strokes? thanks.

Gee Pasta, that sounds pretty generous of you. But how are you going to make sure you don't get ripped off? There's so many people out there who would love to take advantage of this. I hope you are careful.
