Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
Getting through the pain is awful, but not impossible. Try hot showers to release the toxins from your body, meditate, listen to relaxation CD's to release pain, aromas can also help. Most of all don't fight the pain, don't be angry, just relax and let it pass.
It will take some time for the meds to clear your system, but once your off of the meds you will find that you won't have one headache after another and the only rebound effect is that you will rebound quicker from a headache.
Good Luck and I hope all the best.
