Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I suffer from daily headaches too and have had to be my own advocate for my care and bug my doctor at times to get what i have needed, but you can't give up.
i pray you can find some relief soon. Keep us posted. God Bless
Also are you taking any migraine preventitives? I take topmax and amatritpaline (sp?) sorry im bad at spelling meds.
Also abortives like amerge, imitrex, and maxalt that you take at the onset of a migrain can be very helpfull along with a pain killer for the pain like viconden.
I know this sounds like alot of meds but if you find the right combo it can reduce your headaches from every day down to a few times a month and its worth it.
I hope this has been helpfull. If you already know this i'm sorry to be redundent. But i would dicuss preventitives and abortives with your doc if you haven't already and maybe talk about swtiching your beta blocker. BUT always talk to your doc and find out whats right for you these are just suggestions. GOOD LUCK and take care
I don't see migraine or headaches as a side effect of this medication though.
I don't know how bad your hypertension is but if it isn't too bad, you might want to consider changing some lifestyle habits and see what happens. Here is a link from Mayo Clinic for reducing hypertension without medication.

Otherwise, I would start journaling all the food you eat. I had 7 migraines in 9 days and realized it was a new cheese I had gotten and new bread I purchased. Think back, what has changed.
I just want this these to stop. Let's hope he makes the right choose and gives my something else!
