Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I took pure cranberry for months but never noticed a difference. I take vitamin C, and I take probiotics as well. I probably will forever because they help me so much (in other ways than the kidneys). I used to take a b-complex, but have never tried dandelion. I am taking so many supplements that I don't want to take many more, but I would if I saw good reason to.
And yes, many of us have migraines that are very related to stress. I pretty much got rid of my chronic migraines with psychotherapy. I used to have them at least once per week, and sometimes up to 5 times per week, but now I rarely get them. For me it seems they are triggered when I had way too much on my plate, like when I increased my hours at work (and I knew it was more than I could handle), or when I was packing for days for our move, despite feeling very sick already.
