Im am currently prescribed pregabolin, an epilepsy drug. This has eased it alot but there not gone completely. Over the counter drugs, Ive tried them all, but headex extra work really well.

yes, i see a neurologist every three months and ive tried many different tablets.

I am getting ready to call my neurologist, I also see him every 3 months, my family dr's med's isn't working:( I am getting MAD, and taking it out of co-workers and husband:(

Ive written a letter to my neurologist to beg for her help in trying other treatments, tablets ease the constant pain but i believe more can be done. I know what you mean about the mood, i think after time people stop giving sympathy and all they hear is "ive got a headache". Unless they live with it like we do no one can understand. x

I hope he does, keep trying and trying, thats all i do, keep a chart of migrane attacks so he can clearly see how often and rate the pain on a scale of 1-10. I think when they can 'see' the pain it helps with the meds.

I have it every min of the day, I haven't went an hour yet w/out a head ache in a month and a half, only thing that helps alittle is Hydrocodone! This SUCKS!

I really know how you feel, except ive had what they call new daily tension headaches for 10 years, theyve worsend in the past 3/4 years and i have a headache every day. Can go from a dull ache to a migrane. You can try no medicated therepies. I really like doing yoga when im suffering bad. Relaxing breathing and stretches help alot. So does the smell of eucalptus. :) x

Brain dr girl just said she will mention it to him when he get's bk from the hospital but 4 now make an appointmnet w/ family dr and give her a list of med's that doesn't work, I have to go home and get the list and call her back tomorrow. :(

I think you said you had not had an MRI yet, correct? I want to be careful here about giving advice, but having one may give you more info. I am really surprised your neurologist has not ordered one. After all these years thinking I just had migraines that were just getting worse over time, I just found out that I have 2 bulging disks in my C5-C6 vertebrae which are the main cause of the headaches. Yours sound so severe. I really want to ebcourage you to do further testing. If they come up with nothing... well at least you know, but if there is something else going on, then you need to know that ASAP and get the proper meds to treat it. I am so sorry for your suffering!

I had 2 MRI's and they looked good, where is the 2 bulging disks? Would that effect your neck? Mine is killing me!

Sometimes looking elsewhere for help is the answer. I have had some luck when I was younger with Chiropractic care. Also, knowing what foods and environmental triggers to avoid is important. Barometric pressure changes can be a trigger fo me. Lastly, you can get rebound headaches from using too much medication.

Now, doesn't all that just make your life sooo much easier? LOL

I was in a car accident 5 years ago and they told me after I had the MRI that I had bulging disks and they are located in my neck. I went to 1 Physical Therapist who told me that when I get a migraine to lie down and put 1 icepack behind my neck and 1 above my left eye on my forehead. It helps.

The only medication that works for me when I start rebounding, getting migraines every couple hours, is Depokote. If these are the types of migraines you suffer from, extremely painful, suicidal type headaches and you have found nothing that works ask your neurologist to try this cure. It has put me back in the world again and since I turned 56, I have only had to use it once this year, 8 months of freedom. (I take it when I'm rebounding for only a week.) I have never been on it regularly. I only use it to break the cycle. Good luck, I hope this works for you as well as it has for me.
