Hi I have auras but no headache but usually after the aura is over
I feel down almost a little depressed. Before the aura I feel ok and then
after I feel shitty. Does anyone else experience something like this.
I hate the feeling. I have had 4 auras in the last 12 days. Then i might not get them for quite a while. Let me know thanks

I certainly do understand and sympathize with your feelings after the aura. I also get the aura without the headache. i find that sometimes just the anticipation of getting the aura can paralyze you. I am now treating with a neurologist and getting tests done. It just seems to be getting harder and harder living with the migraines. I have gone through the painful headaches and now the aura seems to be the next chapter of the migraine syndrome. Hope you feel better and hang in there.

I too get the aura without headache or sometimes just a very slight one but I actually feel down and depressed severale days before the aura and get slightly better in the days afterwards. Lately it seems to have gone on to another stage and I'm now experiencing a feeling of strangeness while my right side goes tingly and numb....very strange. All the best

Russb, Sorry to hear you are experiencing other factors. I had an aura yesterday. I have a history of migraines on my fathers side and my sister and brother get the auras also. I seem to get them in groups now. Hopefully i can solve or find out what is causing them . Best of luck to you Steve

Steve, I get clusters too sometimes but not every time and Im alone in my family in getting them. I know they are linked to depression as I've been on anti depressants which have reduced them considerably but I stopped taking them as the side effects were a problem. I now take fish oil, drink plenty of water and this seems to have helped until recently when these other symptoms I mentioned earlier started to appear. I had been eating a lot of home grown grapes beforehand and have stopped that now to see if there is a link so time will tell. But as for your aura's, have you tried drinking lots of water after you have one? I know from my experience that this reduces the symptoms and seems to reduce the frequency as well.

i have certain things which bring on migraine auras things like chocolate, red wine, peanuts not eating or skipping a meal. and sometimes weather changes seem to do it. Its a neurological event so i would imagine some down or different feeling.

Most of the things you mentioned I have found to be migraine triggers as well. I just got through having about 6 days of migraines. Yuck. Thank goodness for ibuprohin which helps me. I also struggle with depression and fatigue with migraines. Does anyone think antidepression medication affects their migraines?
