Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I have had migraines over 40 years, but I need some thoughts from others at this time. Last december I had a tooth extracted. got couple shots for numbing. 4 days later got nasty migraine lasted like 6 days. at the time I thought I may have had maybe msg at a restaurant. But also wondered if dental shot was invlved. I have had many fillings over the years but never a migraine. I asked the dentist who seemed perplexed cause not sure if ephenephrine may have been in shot..No clear answer. Last tuesday i ffilling fel lout, I went back to dentist. Got another shot. The next day had migraine for 6 days.Before I went to dantist I was feeling that vague migraine feeling I had eaten poorly the weekend before..Also was congested, chilled stomach crampy. I thought possibility of sinus infection. Could it be a coincedence migraines occurred? Maybe shots had nothing to do with migraine. I have to go back to dentist in few weeks but I am very concerned. help
Ask the dentist what is the name of the numbing agent. Tell him you have had an allergic reaction to it and would like a different numbing agent.

The above is what I would do. If I think something has caused my migraine, I don't eat it ... drink it anymore.
You could have recently been more sensitive to that numbing agent.
