Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
If you find them troubling, I would talk to your doctor about it. It's probably seasonal related. Perhaps brought on by allergies, being that Spring is the season for that.
I just have to stop worrying
I have to admit, I am disabled and use an electric scooter and many times I went to get my mail and came back and had flowers off the trees and pollen all over the wheels of my scooter. So yes, we have been having it. Plus we had days of rain, overcast and it all impacts the barometer, which is another migraine trigger.
So just in seeing the neurologist, we figured out probably what was causing mine and it was the heavier early pollen season here.
The key is, when something new begins to happen, its time to see the doctor for a check.
Best to you!
bright lights, flashing lights, deep bass boom (from car next to you at stoplight,) some repetitive sounds, my motion, seeing motion (video,) but the worst problem for me is odors! First whiff of a perfume and its instant migraine! And sometimes triggers asthma, too.
I do get auras. Sometimes they are pre-migraine and sometimes they are first symptom of a sensory overload with visual, audio, odor and/or motion stimuli. It seems like my system starts to shut down and I can't think what to do. Like leave . . .
To cope, I wear organic vapor mask when going out to most places. I carry a hat, earplugs, and a blackout sleep mask when we go somewhere. (My hubby drives)
I've heard the "just aura" episodes called silent migraines. And I've had the headache hangover even with just the aura, not the pain.
There is also a classification called Ocular Migraines. Researchers are studying other variations, too.
Good luck to you all.
May your week be pain free.
