Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
One day. things just kinda hit me.. It really didn't mean giving up.. I just needed to start trying to live again, the NEW NORMAL way that I had now been dealt.
Having migraines are terrible , just the pain itself.. but when you are not getting the kind of support you need, it makes everything 1 million times worse. So many just don't understand, and some don't even care too, if it doesn't effect them.
I have just found myself a new Dr. the last one .. well, it was horrible, I have alot of other health issues also, I had to find someone who would be willing to work with me and my neurologist.
We all have at some point or another.. had a bad experience with migraine.
The people here in this group, always know exactly how you feel, I think we have all been down the same road, There is not ONE FAIR THING ABOUT A MIGRAINE!!! Take care!!! Lori
I hate being pathetic all the time and always the one who ruins plans and is "looking sad around the house". I don't wanna "take it anymore"....ya know....I WANNA GIVE IT!
it would feel so good to make a difference in anything again. God it would just feel so good to feel GOOD about something I did again.
I think to not just take it as a pain "victim" we have to keep fighting. I gotta say there are way too many days when I feel I couldn't fight anymore to keep my sanity and might just crack. Somehow I just keep going and keep fighting.
Each one of us here...is probably more strong a person now than anyone i will ever meat. Just to do simple daily things and just to keep it together each day we have to have amazing strength and that in itself is not being a victim to our pain....we are fighting.
wow...i really vented....much love to all - opy
For example, if you knew someone who lost a limb in an accident, you would never be able to truly understand or feel what they feel, unless you lost a limb too. So to some degree, you have to understand why others who do not suffer migraine pain, react (or don't react) to your pain they way they do.
YOU'RE NOT A VICTIM AND YOU NEVER WERE. Don't think that. At another topic, I tried to lay out some good info about migraine headaches - you might find it helpful.
