if it helps at all...i understand. hug. i go thru the same thing all the time. Most people dont get it. they cant see how it upsets your whole life. Its not only you who suffers its your family and friends ( what little i have left ) i hope you feel better. you always have someone here who understand you.

Yeah I know how it is. I play piano for my church and I just flat out told them that they can't count on me because of the headaches. i am starting to be upfront with everybody. I just tell them not to expect much. It's sad. Sorry

Oh believe me I understand first of all how much sodium did said soup have sometimes that by it's self with do you in. As for your social life if people don't understand then you really don't want them around anyways. Cause true friends will understand, my running joke is that i am practicing to be a bear and hibernating. Try having some ginger or ginger tea it helps ease your stomach naturally and increases blood flow to help ease your migraine.

Vent away. It's totally unfair to have to live your life around unpredictible and unrelenting pain. I hope by now you're feeling better. I have a problem with just about anything processed, even cereal. With canned soups it may be the broth since I'm slightly allergic to gelatine. I've read it can be the BHT in the packaging, too. Sometimes it's a combination of things. Don't give up!

thanks for all replies. It's Sat. didn't make the party. was in bed by 8. Somewhat foggy today, but better. Seems like processed foods are something to stay away from as I have ulcerative colitis as well. One meal, one day at a time.

I know it is bad when YOU are venting. I am sorry you missed your event. It's just such a bummer.

I have pretty much learned to eat everything from scratch except bread from the bakery, Boar's Head lunch meat or Breton crackers. I make a trip to the farmer's market weekly to get organic food.

It really is a bummer when you have to miss something you want to do but I have also found it to be a wonderful excuse when I don't want to be at an event with my husband's ex-wife. :))

There is always a bright side. LOL

I understand. There is so much we want to do and can't and that is really hard. Most people don't understand what we are going through and that it isn't "just a little headache" You are not imagining it. I really hope you are feeling better soon.

Hello Starkeeper and all, this is my first time in this group and blog. I joined because i am going trough a migraine crisis and i just have been out of work for a week and i guess i needed to hear others. Although it has been intense I started a preventive treatment with Topamax (the generic of it) and i feel i am going to get better. I do not know if any of you is on any preventive medication but I am very positive about it, of course I will be watching for my triggers and control my stress levels but just wanted to suggest or you to try to see if your neurologist starts you in a preventive medication. Although I am experimenting some side effects such as fatigue, i am being patience and giving my body time to adjust. I mean you all know ANYTHING is better than a migraine headache. Oh something else I read some comments about people in your lives making negative comments about you being sick again etc...listen people that truly love you will only be there for you and take care of you and support you , NEVER to add to your problem, remember YOU are the one with the pain and with the life limitations that this brings to us so do not let anybody put you down.
