Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I do get multiple auras and then they will go away for a few months, and then suddenly I will have a month full. Different auras too.
I used to worry that I was having mini strokes too and soon the big one will come along (some days I wish). Migraines emulate stroke symptoms.
But, having spoke to people who have had a stroke, the real mccoy is much more violent and distinct. Something I do to check in that if I stick my tongue out, and it comes out straight, then it is just aura and migraine. A stoke victum may be too confused to think to stick their tongue out, or if they did, I was told that the tongue will usually come out angled to one side or the other.
So sorry to hear you are going through so much
