Migraine Headaches Support Group
Migraine is a neurological disease, of which the most common symptom is an intense and disabling episodic headache. Migraine headaches are usually characterized by severe pain on one or both sides of the head and are often accompanied by photophobia (hypersensitivity to light), phonophobia (hypersensitivity to sound) and nausea.
I was diagnosed with getting tension migraines. I cant afford the prescription they give me so instead I take Excedrin. Usually it works, but as of lately my headahes have been more intense, and come all of a sudden. Really fast and hard, with a lot of throbbing. The past few weeks, the Excedrin wont do anything. The headaches come and go. One minute they hurt, the next they don't. When I go outside, is when they really hit me.
Im rather concerned because brain tumors run in my family along with brain aneursyms. Any advice on what to do? I know I need to see a neurologist, but I don't have insurance or money to see a doctor.

In the meantime, I'll tell you how I afford some of my prescriptions. I get mine though Canadian pharmacies. There is no insurance required. You can get a lot of medication for so much less than what you would pay here. The pharmacy I use is www.Northdrugstore.com
If the prescription they gave you was for a triptan, It might still be expensive. The only one that is pretty cheap is Imitrex in generic form. Take a look though. I get MANY of my scripts from Canada. I've never had a problem.
