Hi Squarley: Sometimes I get an eye that droops with a migraine. When I first went to the neurologist that specializes in migraines, I had a really bad one and told the front desk I was going to start vomiting. They took me to a room, gave me a huge trash basket with a big plastic bag and had me lay down in a dark room with a cold gel pack on my head.

When the nurse came in, I said to her that I was so glad they gave me this huge trash can and big plastic bag because when I have a migraine and vomit, I really projectile vomit and one of those tiny little trays would never do it. She said that they are so experienced in migarines, they don't use those little vomit trays for vomiting because most migraine patients really go at it heavy duty.

Go over what you had yesterday afternoon and last night--including alcohol (which gives me a migraine in 30-45 minutes), what you had to eat (MSG will set me off), chocolate sets me off, did you go to bed too late and wake up too late, were you watching a show or movie that had a lot of flashing lights or strobe effect as some of those can cause migraines or even seizures. We have to be detectives sometimes.

Is the weather going to change? Sometimes the barometric pressure will give me a migraine when it starts to rain. Sometimes the headache lasts as long as the rain, no matter what I take for it I am in pain until the weather changes again.

Gee, Shirley, that is rough. I was told that when your face droops it is because something is pressing on a nerve, so I would sumise that it must be a nasty inflamation somewhere. I had Bells Palsy for a month when I was pregnant and half my face was frozen.

My instinct would be the icepack or cold rag over the head and eyes too. Hope you are feeling better now.

Us migrainers know to reach for ice for a reason. If you feel any tightness anywhere else, try putting cold there too. I get it on the back of my head on my left side and consider that vein a source of my migraines too.

i am not sure what you mean but i do louse eyesite in one eye and it feels like i cant see out of the eye at all till i close the other eye and i relize i can see still a little ...............also my eye lids drup ..........some of the migrains i get are just out of the blue i cant think of a reason for them ................i live in the dark ............and i need quiet...............sometimes i ware earplugs because the fridge is to loude for me that is when my ears are tender when my eyes are tender i have to cover them ............msg are very bad for my migrains ......cant have no alcohol ...........i agrea with enigma. you schould put a cold cloth on your eye ................................take care ..god bless

Also, I can't have most lunchmeats, bacon, sour cream (locust bean gum), some cheeses and ice cream (armaretto) and the list goes on.

I now eat gluten free and try to eat GMO free.
