My husband was diagnosed May 3, 2013 and he is 68 yrs old. There is so much information out there but each situation is unique. Hopefully you have good doctors that you can trust. My husband just found out that he isn't a surgical candidate because the medial lymph nodes are affected. He has had 4 chemo treatments previously. We are waiting to see what our options are available to us now. Meanwhile I feel so helpless watching him cough and get weaker everyday. I want to be hopeful that there will be some good days ahead.
You sound like a very loving daughter- it's difficult to be strong during times like this but your family needs you.

Another thing I want to add 4chi4me is this, I just told mama this the other night and I would like to share with u also ...being I lost my best girlfriend a yr and a half ago to bone and lung cancer so sad but true. I spent 3 too 4 times a week with her the whole time she was sick, anyhow ...I want to share this with u in times like these please know
#1 God is there, he is ALWAYS there, but u will feel his precence more now then ever.... he will be holding my dads hands tight ,along with youre husband's hand tight ,and the ones closest to the individual who is sick being my dad... youre husband ,he will also be holding our hands tight now also .
God guides the way he shows the way we are NEVER alone thru this very tuff time, God is a Huge part in getting us all thru whatever we are about to face ahead!
Just a comferting thought but to me it is very real I seen it with my friend that had bone and lung cancer how strong God held all of us,affected back then and I feel it now, u are in my prayers I will include and you're family in my daily prayer also ok....(((hugs)))
