Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I am 51 and have had mild perimenopausal symptoms since age 41.
But this last April the symptoms kicked in with a vengeance.
Anxiety, insomnia, racing heart, having to urinate every five minutes, brain fog, acne, crying for no reason, irritability, anger, etc...
My sister has been post menopausal for a few years now.
She just went through a bout of urinary incontinence and now crushing depression.
If men had to go through this crap there would be a safe and effective cure for menopause.
And the doctors think it is just hot flashes and night sweats.
Hope you feel better soon.
