Hi there yes i have had this procedure done I had it done in Feb this year and havent had a period since. I had a period for 14 months heavy and awful we tried other things before i did this i took a hormone that only worked for a week and didnt agree with me gave me bad cramping, I had a D&C that didnt work either they took biopsys and I also had a polyp removed when had the D&C all results were clear I then went on to have the ablation done please message me if you have any questions i am happy to help you in any way i can good luck with it Net :)

yes I had one. It was a piece of cake-literally no recovery period and it completely corrected my heavy periods. I had been bleeding like a facet every period for over a year. I had actually become anemic from losing so much blood. My periods went back to being normal.
It was an out patient procedure, They go in vaginally and use a roller ball type thing that cauterizes the blood vessels in the uterus. I also had a few fibroids removed. Went to lunch with my husband when I was done and just took it easy for a few days.

I've had one done and it worked great. I haven't had a period in 12 years after having very serious bleeding and complications for many years previous. The only surgery I've had that I can say was truly worth it.

The only drawback for me was that I had to have a shot of Lupron to prepare my uterus for the surgery. It was supposed to help thin the lining of the uterus by sending me into early menopause temporarily. I did have quite a few side effects from the Lupron but would do it all over again just to have the relief from my periods.

You all are so helpful. ! I am seriously considering it. The ob scared me with my periods being so heavy that I should. Start coming in for blood transfusions during my favorite week of the month and I don't want to do that
