Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
How are you doing?
Hope you have a great Monday too!
It's a common thread that we feel like we're losing our minds. I can't trust my brain anymore to make well thought out decisions and choices plus I, who once had an outstanding memory, now can't remember anything. That brings on fear and anxiety. It's a vicious circle. Think about looking into cognitive behavioral therapy. It can only help and doesn't involve ingesting a chemical or supplement.
I have to force myself to get up in the morning and once I shower and get dressed, I just want to crawl back into bed. I've tried making plans the night before, even making lists of things to do, yet I end up spend the day doing nothing. I was never like this before. It's scary!
I've got an appointment at the end of this month with an ob/gyn. Also at the end of this month it will be one year since I had a period...Hopefully I can get some answers and some help.
Cbella, I really do understand what you are going through. If you need someone to talk to, I'm here!
It's good to know these feelings may be hormonal! I am definitely not myself. Have not been able to concentrate at work at all - I telecommute and am not sure right now if that's a good or bad thing.
So interesting you mention that about making a mistake - so interesting - I have that too and am shocked by it. I've really been wondering what happened to me because like you I've always been a risk taker. Sheesh! May we find a way out of this, grr.
