My hot flashes are not always so intense. Sometimes it is just like a warm wave passing over me. I do a lot of sweater off, sweater on routines that get my hubby laughing.

Do you feel light headed? Normally when I have both those symptoms I head for the coolest floor tiles. i did this a lot during my cycle.

My heat flashes often a lot at night, and I wake up in a cold sweat. Sometimes I feel like my body temp just went up 10%, so I keep a little Japanese wooden fan in my purse and glove box.

I have it here on my desk and use it when needed. It really helps.

I had a hot flash in midst of my full body scan today. With the top of the xray less than two inches from my face, my body temp went through the roof...ha ha ha. I asked the tech to yank off the blanket, my shoes and socks....she did "always want to make you comfortable", she says. Good, because I was really freaking out....you have your arms strapped down to your side so you can't move. I think I was panicking a little. Luckily, there was only about 10 minutes of that.

I did get a copy of both the full body scan and the lung x ray, learned how to read them, and await the radiologist confirmation. Looks good to me.

Dont write off your feeling hot. Some women have hot flashes where they sweat and want to rip their clothes off. Others have hot flushes where they feel very warm from the chest to the neck to the head, this is how I feel. It is called hot flushes. Women experience "hot flashes" very individually.
