Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I have been where you are. ..hell, I've been where a lot of my sisters on this site have been! Thank God for this site!
But mine ended with a few therapy sessions to talk through my anxieties, which were making my physical pain magnified. It's all related but not psychosomatic. Pain is pain. I had to just get mad and decide I wanted to feel normal again. Then I decided to focus on relaxation and less listening in for aches n pains , especially heart stuff. I focused on the good in the test results, and what I could to fix the not so good. I have come to accept that this menopause journey includes different crap every day. So do what you can to stay healthy because just taking charge made me feel a lot better. Hugs, honey...you will look back on this n just shake your head...
just wanted to add as i often share this tip....for the palpitations,it is helpful to remain calm as much as possible when you feel scary things happening, and make yourself cough.
coughing will "re-set" your heart beat and even a fake cough will work.
saw on tv, on several occasions. one time i was actually watching an open heart surgery on a conscious patient.
sometimes they need the patient to assist in the surgery ...and one way , is that when the doctor stimulates the heart to beat a certain way,and at some point the doctor asks the patient to cough, to reset it.
also , assuming no other serious health problems and that you have been checked out if need be, if you just focus on positive , calming things.........such as this will not kill me.
(lol.....but i have had to say that to myself, so i understand)
peace and good health to you all
These things have helped me:
1. Going to a Naturopath and getting hormone testing
2. Taking hormone supplements based on my hormone test imbalances. For me that is Bi-est compound, natural progesterone cream, and DHEA with Ginkgo Biloba.
3. Adding green juicing and/or homemade bone marrow soups to my daily routine because my body is too stressed and isn't absorbing nutrients like it should.
4. Praying a lot.
THANK YOU LADIES!!!
