Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

Wondering if anyone has had vertigo or feeling unbalanced as part of the premenopause? It seem every month is a mixed bag of symptoms and the anxiety has increased as well...Think I may have to go back on my zoloft as this helped in combination with my klonopin the last time I had an increase in anxiety..I also have mood swings like crazy and sometime just cry for no reason....This is just horrible

Don't feel alone. If you read the discussions you will find that heightened anxiety and mood swings seem to be a common symptom. There are many suggestions on medications and supplements. I am new to this group and feel like I have just found the only group of people that will understand what I am experiencing. Hang in there!

Like JanieJ said you are not alone. Menopause or pre menopause is a difficult time for all of us women, with the ever changing symptoms including anxiety. Make sure your vit d and vit B 12 levels are not low, have some lap work done, they don't routinely check vit d or vit b 12 so you may have to ask for that. Be good to yourself and check the 34 symptoms of menopause. Get as much information as you can and then you feel better knowing that most of those symptoms are related to menopause. Peace and Love.

Yes, I have felt unbalanced many times. It's not really a dizzy feeling. More like I might fall down if I move too quickly. I have to be careful and move slowly, especially while turning my head. Sometimes I'll be driving at night and feel this way. Hard to describe. I don't like going out alone alot because I'm afraid I'll pass out somewhere! Just knowing we're going through this together helps psychologically. We're not going crazy! Hang in there!

I have had a few dizzy spells. Some times it feels like I am getting hit in the back of my head with a blunt object. When it happens I get a feeling it has to do with nerves or hormones. However, I don't think my episodes are linked with menopause. I think it was linked with drinking alcohol and taking anti-depressants at the same time. I don't drink or take anti-depressants anymore and the dizziness has greatly reduced.
