I have been having a weird problem with my vaginal/urethreal area. I had this back in july/august, it went away for a few months, but now it's back. A little background on my symptoms- I do believei am in premenopause because my periods have been erratic. I am 44. I have skipped 2 months, 1 month, been 2-4 weeks late, they have lasted 11 days, and been heavy. Also hot flashes, mood swings. I can deal with that stuff fairly well, but it's the weird feelings around my vaginal area that just drives me insane! The best way I can describe it is it almost feels like a tampon ithat isn't in place right, like something is "stuck" and it feels as if I have "bubbles" I have to push out to get even the slightest bit comfortable. When this has happened, it is always after my period. I am sorry if this is tmi. Has anyoneelse had this problem, or am I the only one?

I have a similar problem, and a visit to my gyno showed that I have growths inside my womb. I'll have to go for a historectomy. I suggest you go to a gyno for a check-up. Don't wait too long.

Definitely get checked, it may be a prolapse into the vagina.

Andelene - Are your growths fibroids or polyps? What symptoms are they causing? Fibroids and polyps are very common benign growths. They don't require that the uterus be removed or even that the growths be removed. If you're having symptoms, there are treatments that will preserve your uterus and its lifelong functions (anatomical, pelvic structure / integrity, sexual, etc.). Hysterectomy is the most overused surgery after c-section and causes permanent, progressive problems. I had a hysterectomy and my health and life have suffered. The anatomical changes and breech to the pelvic structure are permanent and progressive. Ditto for sexual function too, at least for me. I haven't had one iota of libido since my surgery but, even worse, all sexual sensation and orgasmic ability has waned to the point that it's now non-existent.

Another possibility is vaginal atrophy.

Thank you all so much. Right now it's hard for me to get to the doc as we have no insurance. I have been researching on my symptoms and I am wondering if it would be the vaginal atrophy also. I guess I could wait until I get some extra money and then go to the doc. I was drinking soy milk before, and I did notice that it went away shortly after. And I was drinking alot of water and walking too. I guess I need to get back to exercise and drinking a ton of water! This is going to drive me to the looney bin! I hope there isn't years left of this!

I have also had 4 children . Three by c section, and one vaginally. I am sure that can take it's toll on a body also! Lol!

Since soy milk is estrogenic and your symptoms improved with it, that would lead me to believe it's vaginal dryness and atrophy. There's a long lasting vaginal moisturizer (I think it lasts 3 days) called Replens. Some women also get relief by inserting vitamin E capsules. I don't know if it matters if you use the natural (d-) or synthetic (dl-) form. There may also be some OTC capsules meant for vaginal dryness. A Google search may be helpful in finding out what's available and most effective.

Using a moisturizer is probably a good idea, as it wouldn't hurt if there is something else going on. If you notice an improvement in how you feel, that would probably be the reason. Yes, having 4 children can cause issues, that is why I thought maybe a prolapse. Take care.

I have been using a moisturizer with aloe and vitamin e...it helps somewhat. I think I may try the replens. Every so often it burns. That's why I'm leaning more towards dryness. Of course my husband and I haven't been intimate lately, so I am not sure if I am dry then lol. I want to thank you all for your replies.
