Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
How are your progesterone levels?
Hope you feel better soon!
From hyst'd women I've connected with, we need a higher blood level of estradiol to feel half way normal. But you should be able to go by symptoms and many of yours sound like low estrogen and possibly thyroid and/or adrenal which may be exacerbated by estrogen deficiency. I had anxiety, irritability, and poor body temp regulation (along with many other debilitating symptoms including suicidal depression) when my estrogen was "low" and fluctuated too much. V-Dot was a poor fit for me with too much fluctuation and estradiol level too low (peaking at less than 130)
Changing HRT causes fluctuations and hormonal havoc. Are you saying the .05mg V-Dot patch was working well before all this started around Easter? If so, have you gone back to it and given it at least 2 weeks to see if things settled down somewhat? Full effects take 6 to 8 weeks. Have you had thyroid labs done - TSH, free T3, free T4, and possibly antibodies?
