Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
When is your appointment with the specialist? Sure seems like waiting a long time for appointments, I about gave up on doctors anyways.
Sure would be nice if we were done with all this crap tomorrow and could go on with a somewhat "normal" life, or whatever that is or was.
Hang in there and I hope your period stops now, that must be so awful and also frighting! Peace and Love.
Caro... I am so sorry you are having such a hard time, my gyno wanted me to go back on pill to aleviate some of the symptoms I was having ... irregular periods, anxiety, pain ect. I was too scared to take it. For panic attacks my doctor prescribed alprazolam and I take a 1/2 of one when I feel one coming on. So far that has helped me get through them. Good luck, you are not alone. Never would have thought that hormone imbalance could make us feel so many different symptoms. Hopefully you can get in to see a specialist soon.
