Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I'm glad your able to look at it as a positive. I guess in a way it could be. I'm not enjoying it at all. Sometimes it is pretty funny, the stupid stuff I do or say. The other day I took my clothes out of the washer, put them in the dryer and then turned the washer back on. I'm thinking, "What in God's name am I doing now". LOL
I'm actually going to miss my periods. It's the only time I feel relief and normal. lol I wish you luck going through it. It's a tough road for some and others just seem to breeze through it. Hopefully you'll be one of the ones to breeze through.
Take Care, Donna
Women can begin hormonally declining after her second child, whatever age that may be. When women wait until their thirties or forties to have kids, the hormones don't bounce back after pregnancy like they do for younger, more hormonally sound women. You want your body in a state of reproduction as long as possible.
Replacing your hormones to youthful levels with plant based hormones in a rhythmic manner is the best way to go. The biggest problem is finding a physician with any advanced hormone training. Medical schools DO NOT teach anything about hormones or hormone replacement therapy. Doctors are trying to balance hormones without any training whatsoever. If you call reading the estrogen sample packet instruction sheet education, then your GP will be well trained.
Believe me, you want your periods as long as you are able. You're "still in the game."
