Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
My menopause is chemo induced, I am only 47 years young and it started close to one year ago and although I would love to say it is getting better there has been no letting up.
Started on amitryptiline{sp} to help relax my muscle and help me sleep. Although I know it does help, it has not stopped it all together. I find that when I get to much sleep it gets worse which is hard for me as I am also suffering from fybromyalgia and undergoing chemo for lymphoma.
On the up side.. things could be so much worse. I still wake up each day and when the tingling starts I think at least I can feel it. With each event find a positive and keep that thought.. ...
Keep smiling.. Makes others wonder what you are up to.. ;)
