Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
My cycle is still pretty regular. It has just started being different. Spotting for a couple of days then heavier for 2 days then spotting again for a few days. Sometimes it isn't even spotting, just bright red blood when I wipe.
But I have the sleep difficulties. Sometimes it's hard to fall asleep, sometimes it is hard to stay asleep sometimes it is both.
I have anxiety, foggy headedness, bloating, weight gain, acne and many other symptoms.
Oh the joy of perimenopause.
You are not alone.
Take care.
