Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Sounds like you're not done yet. Have all your eggs dropped? You may have a few hiding somewhere and your uterus knows it. That or if you have HRT, maybe the levels are high enough to bring on menses symptoms. Everyone is different. I know someone who had sympathetic cycles whenever her family stayed with her and they had their menses.
Menopause is anything but methodical or had a general character other than the slowing of hormones, the cessation of producing fertile eggs, the ending of the menstrual cycle. Even the hot flashes and night sweats are different for everyone. Some are traditional and ge wringing wet. I hot flash and go crispy instead, I hope this is the worst of your menopause. You will be extremely fortunate to be able to avoid the moods swings, They're a lot worse than they sound.
