It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

Hi Everyone,

I am a 49 years old. I run the gammet on all of the perimenopause symptoms but I was also just diagnosed with anemia. It makes me extremely tired (and I was tired to begin with). Has anyone else experienced this during perimenopause?

Blackstrap molasses from the Health food store are helpful for anemia, they have iron, potasium and many other healthy minerals. Google blackstrap molasses and also earthclinic.com. Hope this was any help.

yes but I was having periods for a year lasting over 2 weeks and bleeding like a faucet was turned on
Had fibroids- had an endometerial ablation and myomectomy and the bleeding went back to normal and anemia resolved
