It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

I just joined this Group and am ever so gratful. I am having a reallty hard time and it is nice to know that there are women out there going thorough the same thing. I am taking all natural replacements such as Remifemin, VitE, b6, 5-Htp, and Progersterin Cream. as you can see I am a mess. Can't sleep also the 5-HTP should help wit that so Im told. Any more advice is welcome. Thanks.

Hiya. I was on ther remifemin for a while but didnt find it as helpful as some others. The herbal formulas are so expensive....about $38 a month here.I also take vit b 6 and tried 5htp last year when I had sleeping problems.I found it excellent at de-stressing me.I am going to ask my doctor about the cream.Have you found it helpful ? My gyno said it doesnt work but I have read some good stuff on it.I was on provera,a progesterone pill but it turned me into someone I wasnt so I went off it.Exercise is very good for menopause and the herb sage reduces ther bodys temperature so is beneficial for sweats.

If you Dr' is a man then ya he probably doesn't know if it works but you have to give it time I take Progesterin Cream. I know they are expensive here too (i'm in Tx) but I needed somthing and so I did'nt care what it costs. Check the online products and sometimes they send you free samples.
