Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I am glad to hear your biodenticals are making a difference, it makes sense that others might notice the difference in us more quickly than we would ourselves. I'll try to keep in mind that they will be subtle differences so I'll wait a month or two to ask my husband if I seem any better. I'm sure he'll let me know if there not doing anything since he knows how much this is costing lol. Hope you continue to get better.
Menopauselady, I've tried so many supplements already and can't say some haven't given a tiny amount of relief and these might not either. I also found out from my biodentical doctor that I'm prediabetic with a slightly low thyroid which can also cause some of these symptoms. I'm not aware of a supplement that can help with those issues so guess I'll try the Metformin and Armour Thyroid and hope I can at least get those problems under control.
Joyce: I have had some really big rages lately. I am trying to wean off HT, but this week, I slapped on a patch, could *not* stand me any longer! I have Dr appt next week, but at least now I feel well enough to make the appt!
I nearly lost my temper last week over some remark made by a friend too. Just like you, I knew damn well I was seeing into it way more than was there....she was merely joking...but I felt she was making fun of me too. Now, I am much calmer and wonder why I ever thought that way. I worried on the way home that I might have said something awful, it was all I could do to hold my tongue.
I did feel good today, getting some necessary stuff done. But am back on HT too. I hope you get some relief soon....DaisyC
I knew you were having trouble being off the HRT and I can understand why especially when you were doing so well on them and then to abruptly stop would be hard. I hope you feel better whatever you decide to do, you wouldn't think a few little hormones could make you feel this way. It's too soon to tell if the biodenticals are working but I must say I have felt better the past few days. Then again, I've had good days before so I'm not ready to say its the meds just yet.
