Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Two of my four sisters (the oldest and youngest) have gone through meno. The oldest has only had sleep issues and she attributes them to having too much on her plate, not hot flashes or night sweats. The youngest had a borderline pelvic tumor which required three surgeries as it kept coming back. Although she has all her organs, the radiation made her menopausal in her mid-20's and she's been on Prempro for 20+ years - added thyroid meds later. She said she tends to get warm at night but has no other symptoms.
Hope your transition continues to be easy breezy!
