Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
(And I re-read your post and still don't see any profanity. ..)
Thanks for the humorous support to everyone!
I'm new to all this menopause stuff. I've run every test known to mankind and boy have I paid for it. Cardiologist, PCP, hematologist, OB/GYN; had every test done on me (I've now met my deductible of $6000, thank you) and seeing a therapist and new OB/GYN next week. I've always worked out, kept in shape, been upbeat and happy. Now, over the last 6 months, I'm still trying to figure this crap out. I don't want to workout because I get heart palpitations and VERY hot inside when I work out. I'm anxious all the time; sensitive; my stomach is bloated. I sleep fine, though, but have hot flashes at night. I'm now trying to eat on the paleo diet to try taking dairy and sugar out of my life. I need my wine, though. I found this site and it's nice to know I'm not going crazy. I'm not a pill popper so I'm going to try the Peruvian Maca and Damiana if I can find them. I read Suzanne Sommers book, too, and she swears on bioidentical hormones saying that's the only way to go. This is more frustrating than my taxes every year.
