Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
May I suggest you start reading the posts, google perimenopause and menopause and get informed. And ask questions here as many as you want and as often as you want. Thus far I'm finding that someone knows and has gone through what I'm going through.
Hang in there! You are not alone!
I am only 46, so this is early for me, so my doctor tells me. I don't want to be that woman that can't control emotions and moods, but I'm afraid it comes with the territory. I am hoping a "cocktail" of medications may help get me back on track.
I am recently turned 51 and am officially in menopause.
I have been severely depressed. I get these over powering feelings of depression, loneliness, fear, anxiety and feeling totally lost.
I am not on any kind of hormonal replacement therapy. It scares me a bit to take anything for it with all the bad side effects it can have. Breast cancer etc. I have lost all desire for the every day. I find myself isolating and feeling so, so lost. Menopause on top of depression is horrid. Has anyone but me even felt a bit suicidal? I hate saying that because it is scary, but that's how low I can get. I would love to hear from others who experience similar things. Thank ou.
Seriously, I am suffering very badly with depression and horrid thoughts, regrets of life, loneliness etc. etc.
Chime ins welcome please.
