Hello everyone, hope all is Blessed! My question: Is anyone else going through the change of life dealing with hormonal acne? My face looks and feels like rocky road ice cream! I NEVER in my life had acne like this before in fact as a teen I kept a nice clear face NO acne now that I'm going through menopause my acne is horrible on my FACE! I get sick and tire of people saying whats wrong with your face and I say hormonal acne and then get that strange look like I said something like alien rabbies! I havent seen it mentioned here so thought I'd ask is anyone else dealing with this and what are ya doing about it? I have almost stop going out in public due to my acne face and panic/anxiety have been major and scaring the heck out of me with the horrible shaking and fear that comes with them. I feel like i'm living in a body that has turned against me and whomping up on me! I take no hormone pills as in the past I deveolped a blood clot in the lungs (that was a very scary time in my life , especially the cold cold ICU at the hosiptal where I ended up)
Plus they raise my blood pressure to the point that I almost faint Dr. will not give them to me. I'm deadly allergic to pennicillin so scare to even try anything at all so my ride in this is REALLY rough somedays I actually feel I'm just not gonna make it! Oh yeah i'm 53 years old and my periods are like messed up BUT I rarely to ever miss a month whats with that? My mom was through menopause at 49 years old so why i'm not through it, could it be that I was still bearing children at 38 /39? I started my period at 9 years old I mean come on whats the deal here. any help or advice would greatly be appreciated.

Acne...well I hate to tell you, but not much you can do for it! I have had acne all my life (and it aint been no picnic) but right before my period My acne gets so bad that I hide in the house for at least a week! My OBYGN told me it will only get worse as i get into menopause, as now Ia m just peri-meno.
I use alot of that hand sanitizer on my face. I keep it on my desk and everytime I think about it, I put some on my face adn I use a topical cream, but it never really does much! To top it off...I get that cycstic acne....Oh it thrills me to be 44 yrs old and still have acne!
I am sorry you are going through all this. They do have things at walmart, kits like proactive, but it didn't work for me, but you may want to try it. About $30 a month.
