Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

Was there nothing that could be done? Did hormone therapy not work?
One of the best things you can do now is keep your female organs as healthy as possible. Eat foods that are designed to support estrogen, like soy beans, soy milk, tofu, anything soy. Limit, but do not avoid foods like yams, which boost testosterone, which you don't need.
You are totally through and post meno? Is there nothing that can get your hormones into a more normal balance? Have you had your T3 and T4 levels tested for the thyroid.
