Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
We were out for dinner with another couple (friends), it was both our anniversaries. Since before we left, I told my husband I no longer felt like going. I just felt this feeling of energy I could not control. It was like an overwhelming feeling of who knows what! I felt like everything bothered me...we went anyway since we already had reservations...I made it through dinner, but just towards the end...I became "antsy" I guess...I went to the bathroom, I couldn't keep still...I finally excused myself and said I would wait outside (for some fresh air) while the check came...we skipped the movie we had planned to see after dinner... It was a bad sensation throughout my body that is hard to explain...I know it's "anxiety" but no rhyme or reason behind it....just blame it on hormones I guess!
