Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I have had insomnia so bad until I feel like crying. I remember the woman I "used" to be and mourn for her. I use to be this happy, energetic, let's conquer the world type of woman ... Now, I'm running back and forth to the doctors trying to find a solution. I give up. I'm going to have to ride this out until it passes. :-(
I have been using a sleep program to help me learn how to sleep. It worked ok last night. I got 5.5 hours of sleep (Hurray!). I am averaging about 2-4 hours per night with this perimenopause. I feel like this is some cruel joke that someone is playing on me and soon I'm going to get the punch line.
