Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
I am only starting with what I believe are perimenopausal symptoms. I have been getting night sweats but sometimes I get chills right before I go to bed. However, when I put an extra light blanket on it ends up coming off because I get all sweaty. I do not plan on going through HRT. My mother didn't either because a paternal aunt of hers had breast cancer. She ate a lot of soy, tofu and took extra calcium. There are so many natural options now for people. I would talk to your doctor or maybe consult with a naturopath doctor to assist with using natural things.
Best wishes!

it's good that he is drawing blood and checking everything out. would bioidentical hormones work for you? hope you start feeling better. i think we can all relate to the weepies.
Day by day, some days "feel" better than others. We have to hang in there. Find what works: HRT, natural, nothing, anti-depressants, sleep aid whatever... Don't judge others,, what works for one maybe not for you. take info you can use and talk with other similar stage women. I am 44. I swear the day after I turned 43 my hormones went into wack--along with my periods. Hugs to all! Pam
Oddly i was so relieved over the biopsy results that I was very happy about the menopause diagnosis. But then been having a good swing even though hot flashes galore.
