Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
About a month ago I started taking Phytosoya which has helped a lot with hot flashes but I am wondering if this has somehting to do with this period after so long, has anyone else experienced similar?
I know what you mean I started to have a period 9 month after I went without one. and had it for 10 days very heavy.Taht was in May and so far I haven't had one since. And I was feeling really great before I started. My Hotflashes werte under control and I was finally sleeping through the night and the wham after my period I strted this mess all over again as if I just strted Menopause. I was told that If you go 1 full year without a cycle then you are Menopausal before that your in Perimenopause. So yes I think it is normal to start and stop before you stop all toghether.
I also had bloodwork done and mine came back fine. However, every symptom in Perimeno is describing me to a "T".
I made an appt. with a gyn on the 29th and am going to demand they do proper testing (aside from the bloodwork) or refer me to someone who does know about hormone imbalances. The nightsweats, insomnia, etc... was bad enough, but I'd take those anyday over the anxiety issues.
I do know that when I get a good nights sleep, I feel much better. And, I'm starting to have better nights sleep now (but I take Paxil & Xanax) and have way more better days than bad. It's been a little over 2 months that I've been on the meds.
Good luck :)
I read your Bio, and also it maybe sad what you had to go through, John 10:10 The thief came to steal, but Jesus came so that you may enjoy you're life inabundance, to fullest until it overflows (depending on what translation you have). That is my Motto. Hope you get your joy back. And what your doing for you're Mother in LAw bless you!
