Blood Pressure

Hello Ladies!
I have noticed that my Blood Pressure(Systolic only, 162/78) has been high a lot and wanted to know if there is anybody out there with the same problem and maybe has some duggestions?

Hiya. For the first time in my life, my blood pressure is also high. I am waiting on a blood pressure monitor from the Doc to check it regularly for a time. I have read that hormonal changes can cause high blood pressure.Hormonal changes are a pain in the ***. I understand that a product called Coenzyme Q10 lowers blood pressure and also the mineral chromium. Both you should be able to get in a natural health shop. Also very necessary to cut back on salt.Cucumber also helps to lower blood pressure.

I got on the High Blood Pressure Support Group, and there was a Post about the intake of Salt. It was very Interresting. You could also have elevated Systolic pressure from the lack of salt in you diet. So I did some research, and found that Celery has 23% sodium and so do your Bones, so when the salt is depleted from your bones it could actually alter your BP. Also a lack of Potassium could result in a high BP. So I went to my Walmart Pharmacist and he told me to eat a Banana a day instead of taking Potassium supplements( too much clould be harmful). Well I increased my Friut and Veggies(especially Celery) and am eating one Banana a day and 3 days into this, my Bp has been 130/78. I feel like a burden lifted off my shoulder(Stress is another factor for High Bp). So I am continue to eat that Banana and the Celery and see if it stays that way. I was taking COQ10. but too nauseaus from it and never saw the results.
They had an Article in our News Paper about Dr's. They said that most Dr's Call on the Pharmacist for advise on Drugs. So my Advise is go to your Pharmacist and build a good relationship with him.

I too developed high blood pressure during menopause.. My Dr. put me on a a med for it and also put me on potasium liquid.. Glad to know the natural ways too.. thanks

I actually have the opposite problem, but I have always been different. Now it is 90/60 and I don't want it to go any lower. Hopefully I am almost done with Menopause! I NEVER got cravings when I was pregnant with my 3 kids because I was throwing up too much. Now, all of a sudden, I get cravings! Mostly for salad. Very strange...
