It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.

WHO OUT THERE SUFFERS BAD HAIR DAYS DUE TO MENOPAUSE?? MY HAIR IS PRETTY THIN, AND I CAN CURL IT WITH ALL SORTS OF PRODUCTS IN IT, AND WHAM A HOT FLASH MELTS IT AWAY. I ALSO HAVE NO BODY TO IT WHAT SO EVER DURING MY MENSTURAL. WHATS A WOMAN TO DO?????

I know what you mean and totally sypathize. I used to have beautiful wavy red hair. Now my hair is dry as straw and greying at an alarming rate! (lol) What's a lady to do?

well my hotflashes aren't nearly that bad, but I am constantly trying to cover the gray and I am seeing more scalp than I used to. Also the grays seem to have the texture of something better suited to stuff a scarecrow with than to find growing on a human head lol.

I EARNED my 'pewter' and I wear it proudly. LOL!

I just needed a new style that I didn't have to do much with but also showed off its increasing white. Purple shampoo/conditioner is a must.

Mine has gotten progressively shorter as it got thinner and thinner; but the good side to THAT is my Mother thinks it looks great; she comments on it every time I see her. AND, it is a lot easier to manage; just let it dry, or a bit of blow drying with a round brush for a bit more style. Sure, I would LOVE to go back to long hair, but this is okay, too.

that's the truth! I try to avoid direct sunlight as much as possible. It reflects off the peach fuzz too much.
I'm still gorgeous..... in the dark lmao.
