Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
For months is has been ongoing. I made big changes last year. I have modified my cal intake to about 1500/mo , cut fat foods out of diet, cut sugar to a bare minimum in cooking, mindful of choices and stopped eating fast food . I walked daily for about 45 min. Did not loose much in pounds for all my efforts, about 10lbs.i know others who do less with modifications and exercise and lost more. Go figure. Yes, I have had thyroid checked for the last 4 years.
I get depression, mood swings, emotional overload sometimes. skin crawling, fatigue and a few to symptoms. Maybe that' why I get depressed at time. Out of the blue I am depressed now.
