Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
My GP was the one who first prescribed me some medicine. It was 10mg of Lexapro. Then after this last bout she did suggest I see a psychiatrist for meds. Lexapro went up to 20mg and Xanax to help me out until the increased dose kicked in. Then Xanax as needed. I have never had any negative side effects from the Lexapro. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Take care friend.
Hugs,
Lisa
Jeanne, looking forward to your email. The Xanax should certainly help. After yesterdays anxiety I am back on the amount the doc recommended.
