Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
As far as crawly symptoms I believe this can also be a symptom of menopause. Gosh it's all awful. Take care
I'm not taking the astaxanthin tonight and will see how it goes. I'll be checking with my pharmacist next time I go there.
It honestly was so bad that I was afraid to go to sleep as I didn't know if I would wake up or die. It felt that bad!
I really do want to take this stuff though so hopefully the pharmacist has some good advise for me.
I had bought it because I could find no adverse side effects on it or any problems combining it with the meds I'm on.
However, while I've been doing relatively better since I stopped, during the night last night it started up again. My dog needed to go out in the middle of the night so I took her out and when I got back in bed, all of a sudden I had the same complete panic, feeling of my skin crawling, feeling like I was on a boat on rough seas and this lasted about an hour or so before it finally subsided. I felt my pulse a few times during all this, my heart was beating the same as always, slow and steady.
So this is simply part of the perimenopause fun? it is truly the scariest feeling I've ever had! And it was strange that I got it after stopping the Astaxanthin.
I thought it would be safe to take as there appear no known allergic reactions to it and it doesn't clash with any meds.
mixed in. Unless the doctor or pharmacist says that this is
normal and will pass I think I'd stop taking it. It's not worth
the fear alone of what's going on or what will happen.
Hope you find your answer soon.
