Menopause Support Group
Menopause is the physiological cessation of menstrual cycles associated with advancing age. It normally occurs in women between the ages of 45 and 55, when the body begins to slow and stop the production of eggs, estrogen and progesterone production decreases, and menstruation diminishes, eventually stopping altogether.
Some things just happen for a reason I guess.
I just know that for many years I said, I didn't want to go through menopause, because that would be when I start to turn old. It's still my mindset, and people are telling me things like "already?!" and "how old are you?!" and just makes me feel like my body is wrong for going through this at "only 40 years old?!"
ugh. Thanks for the encouragement, and it feels good to know I am not alone e4now.
I had my first hot flash last night. it was horrible. I had my fan right at my feet and just laid there sprawled out, hot as ever. And my children were telling me its cold.
I couldn't open the window because we have a fire here in oregon and I have asthma, and so I had to bear it with just the fan. All night.
