Is there no one out there in all these groups that are needing to talk about the loss of sleep, the terrible 'flashes', the woes of memory loss, the constant mood swings? Anyone???

I'm Linda and new to the group. Yes, I have my share of woos. I've been going through the change for the last 4 years now and each year si getting worse than the one before. Lately I'm up to 25-30 hot flashes/night sweats a day!! It really bits!!!!! Can't sleep for crap!! Can't focus. Feel like I'm in a fog all the time. My last OBGYN told me to get a dog to get my mind off of myself. I told her to go pound sand!! My newest OBGYN has me on some new HRT. It's called Activella. She beleives that my symptoms are severe enough to try this stuff. So far the hot flashes hadve disipated to about 15 a day. I've been on it for about a week. I'm to the point hwere I'll ty anythig. I just want my damn life back!! Can anyone relate? Linda

Go to an endocrinologist that works with bio identical hormones. They are waaaayyy better.

I am 55 yr old Linda waiting for my period to stop to try bio identicals I take a long list of supplements but no relief. I am up all night with you sweating and freezing last night I cried for 1/2 hour. I have been dealing with this song long its become who I am. The damn gyno is crazy telling you to pretend its not there doesn't work. I recent visit she wanted me to take birth control even though I have my tubes cut, tied and burned after my 3rd child. She is younger then myself so she has no clue wth she is doing. I am so pissed at our government who has ignored us and chalked us all up as crazy. When bio identicals are out there but not covered by insurance. That is why Hollywood bitches are all on it. Years ago Suazanne Somers tried to advocate for us ladies but she didn't win and they still wanna give us synthetic hormones that can and will cause cancer. It sad to me men have a million options to get an erection and they work while we suffer and the last thing we want is sex. They are destroying marriages with this stupid scheme. I for one will tolerate my husband acting this way or out the door with you mister. Get over it and go jerk off its works for every other man if I say no that means no I feel like shit get lost.
