i have been recovering from chemical meningitis caused by gadolinium contrast for the past nine months. My head still rings and my vision changes by the hour. I still have brain fog and pain. Anybody out there that has had gadolinium chemical meningitis ? My doctors have never treated anyone for this problem. I need some help. Thanks, Gadboy

I'm sorry Gadboy I almost wish I had, at least we would have someone to talk to about it. I had encephalitis years ago from a mesquito they believe, took me down for 23 days, woke up seeing the second liner hit the twin towers. This would almost be easy pain because I slept through the last one. I have had a headache for 5 weeks now. 2 MRI's, 2 CT's scans, lots of bloodwork and the latest....that was a hoot....occipital nerver block,,,don't ever look it up before getting it. ...............Anyway sorry you're suffering too. I don’t know if you still need help but I had meningitis about 2 weeks after galodinium exposure back in 2015. The ear ringing hasn’t seemed to stop. However, whote noise like soft rain reduces the loudness & helps you sleep a little better. The horrible migraines have tapered to a minimum & it seems 4-8 ibuprofen help the most, unless you’re vomiting, then you’ll need an anti nausea or the ER first.

I ended up also having early onset cataracts & damaged the outer layer of my eye. They removed that layer & I grew a new one then they did cataracts surger...just in case it happens to you.

I will say the pain overall has gone down enough to function & I am able to finally sleep more than 15-30 minutes at a time, usually 3-4 hours now. It’s taken 3 years though. I am suing of course...after all that damage! If you’re interested in talking more. Let me know. I would love to have someone to talk with who’s gone through it like me. Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply, my condition has not changed. Still cant drive or read the paper or spend much time watching tv. I found that watercolor painting does give me a new purpose and it helps my vision a bit. gadboy
