Meniere's Disease Support Group
Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

For symptoms I take ginger candy and DiVertigo (herbal) and 12.5mg Phenergan if it gets really bad. Aleve for headaches if the Maxalt doesn't do the trick. The Phenergan also helps for that because it relaxes my muscles.
I'm also on a low salt and migraine diet. No caffeine, no chocolate (theobromine), no alcohol, no aged cheese, no pickled foods, no MSG, no cured meats, no artificial sweeteners. Also stay away from strong smell such as perfume and smoke and wear sunglasses when it is bright out.
Oh and I take a birthcontrol pill called Seasonique that lets me have a period only every 3 months and they are very light. Much less hormonal triggers.
