Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

Two days away from receiving hearing aid

I am two days away from receiving hearing aid. Did anyone had any luck with hearing aid? They say good attitude helps. I am nervous because now I truly know i have MD and have hearing loss.

Had one for a year or so but I seldom use it it tends to make everything sound tinny if you know what I mean. Works well some day's but I find it brings in too much noise from everything else .
I was lucky enough to not have to pay for mine, $2000+ retail.If I had to I would say it wasn't worth the money for what it does I am frugal like that,But it will work different for each person, I hope it does well for you.

There are many types of hearing aids to try. So if the first ones are not satisfactory, ask to try a different kind. The law requires you to have a trial period with each hearing aid you try (minus the fitting charge). And ask about a CROS type hearing aid system if you have one bad ear and one good ear. I've had good luck with that.

Good morning, this is day number two with the hearing aid and I like it. So far not much issue with it. I got the ReSound one and it adjust itself to every environment that I goes in, it does it automatic. It also help the ear pain. So far am grateful. My insurance payed for it. I only have to buy batteries. I do like it. I go back in two weeks to see her again, hopefully that will be the last for now.
