Meniere's disease is a balance disorder of the inner ear. The symptoms of Meniere's are variable; not all sufferers experience the same symptoms. However, "classic Meniere's" is considered to comprise the following four symptoms: Periodic episodes of rotary vertigo, hearing loss, tinnitus, and a sensation of fullness or pressure in one or both ears.

Is anyone else taking this? and has anyone experienced any weird side effects? I've been on it since the end of July/beginning of August and haven't had any issues up until the last month or so with dry mouth, chest tightness/pains and some occasional moments where my heart races or whooshes where I feel it skipped a beat. Just recently I've also felt the weird tingly or itchy sensation across my chest as if little spiders are running across and some constipation.....I did a check on the possible side effects and saw everything I've experienced on there and am wondering if anyone else has similar or other side effects?

Yes! i have been on a last three years after diagnose with MD. i do have a dry mouth but no major side effect serve so you may consider call your doctor or ENT to go over your prescription; best of luck!

Been on it for years, I always attributed my dry mouth to my Diabetes. Maybe you should get that checked too.

I started it 1.5 years ago and recently started to have side pain and back pain - my kidneys and bladder felt like they were so overtaxed. I never felt good on it but my physician didn't want to take me off. I actually went off it 5 days ago because I couldn't stand it anymore.

Interestingly, I mentioned not feeling good on this from the very beginning but it is the standard treatment so the patient voice often gets lost. I couldn't exercise because my blood pressure would go to low. The last five days I have felt human again and am back to exercising. I'm starting Lemon Bioflavanoid Complex in hopes of staying off the medication that doesn't agree with me.

I have been on it since March. No issues other than dry mouth which is to be expected. Everyone reacts to things differently & you have to find what works for you. And if it doesn't work for you.....stop taking it for sure! :)

I feel that triamterene has been extremely helpful for me and I fought it in the beginning because I was seeing a doctor who didn't think I needed to take it. So I was off and on it which only gave me an opportunity to see the positive affects it was having. I have been fortunate to not have many side effects.
